Viking Soldiers with art by Francis Hilow

By request I have added some Vikings. I am dividing up their Soldiers name by areas where they have lived. I find that this may be necessary as the culture was such that there were not specific job titles in most cases. If you were a land owner you were lord, fisherman, warrior and everything else required of you. I have divided up the Vikings by region, and here are the first two Norway cards. I may rework the names of the regions but this should suffice for now.

Also on these first two cards I am using art by my friend Francis Hilow. He has dedicated a lot of time and energy into making card art for me that I have not fully utilized yet. I hope to not disappoint.

Enjoy!

Bjorn son of Ketill

Everyone needs more Vikings in their life!

Introducing some stunning art by Manink! Visit his website HERE, cause he's awesome.

Bjorn son of Ketill is pretty powerful, he brings in the peeps for the fight!

Also, in case you forgot about our other resident Viking (more to come), I posted Eric Bloodaxe in there for you. He costs five whale to play, but don't worry, you can always trade Silver for Whale. Axe Equipment should be made pretty soon so he can be valuable to you.

Also, Jarls are indeed Leader Cards (notice the Icon). They act as Generals, Philosophers or Doctors... etc...

Macdonia Empathy and Pyrrus fix

Of course if you study Alexander the Great, you're gonna find out that although he conquered Persia, he loved them at the same time and thought of himself as a "Second Cyrus: Savior to Persia" or some such whatnot. However he played it, he was a keen observer of everything they did... Tactics, Strategy and Logistics alike. He did some fine work in decimating Darius's army, but showed hospitality to his family.

While I was mucking about making this card I also made some Warlord Edition adjustments as well as Macedonia highlights to the card. I hope you enjoy!

Achaemenid Persia Immortals

The good news is, you can keep shoveling out the cheap stuff and keep the Immortals alive. Plague Rats anyone?

New Unaffiliated Resources

These four new resources are a small segue into resources that affect time and other aspects of battle rather than just sorted goods and foodstuffs.

These are all by the same artist and I would encourage you to go look at his stuff HERE, cause it's really cool.

Artaxerxes I and Themistocles

Picture not epic enough....

How about this?

Here is Themistocles in case you forgot. He's pretty awesome.
I changed him a little bit into an even more awesome card.

Achaemenid Persia General Fixes

Added the General Icon, changed background and moved Daric number to the right.

This card now reads "is discarded" instead of "leaves" battlefield. Good fix.

New Art, Two New Cards

Two pretty cheerful cards full of sunshine and rainbows...

Wait... No... But that's ok.

Two pretty aw3some cards though from two inspiring artists. I emailed them and asked if I could make the cards with their art and they were pretty cool with it.

Go visit their sites!

Unaffiliated Kingdom Minor Visual Fixes

I think the only fixes that I made to Gameplay was makining Derek and Chris Rare as well as calling "Cultural Points" the actual name: "Cultural Health", everything else was visual.

Rip Tide

I suppose if there are only two people in the room, then you wouldn't be able to play this effectively... Or... At all...

Naval Generals Glossary Update

I have updated the glossary with this new definition:

Naval General - Naval Soldiers act like normal Soldiers while at Sea - They must have a Leadership card in play in order to attack. Normally, you may make do with a regular Leadership card like Attila the Hun (a Land-Based General), however, if you wish to use a Sea-based General or other Leadership card, you may do so, but it does not affect the Land-Based Units... Land Units still need a Land General in order to attack. In effect, you may have two Generals in play (one land and one sea) without conflict.
