gearing up for the "Classical Greeks" deck.
waiting on Tokyo in Tulsa Convention to give me the heads up about my board room discussion and game room play info. hopefully things go well and i can play the whole con... i love cons.
anxiously anticipating the large ad push for memorial day weekend (USA May 26-28th)... should be wonderful.
note on the greeks deck: the ancient greeks will NOT include anything macedonian. neither the greek deck nor the persian deck will include alexander the great. he will appear in the macedonian deck.
thinking of changing all "unaffiliated" to "antiquity" to clear up confusion. i think i could justify the extra work.

adding new unnafiliated soldiers and generals soon
added Shang Di Votarient General to main site. a new cheaper general with a blank cost that is ready to fight.
new soldiers coming soon. most will be centered around smaller civilizations that i am not building decks around.
4/23/12
added 10 or so videos to main site.
also, changed card requirements to minimums of 25 playing and 10 resource. no maximums.
let's see how this plays out.

Empire, Epochs and Eras
In the upper left hand corner of each card is its Empire, Epoch or Era.
You may have: Celt or Assassin or Viking or Burgundian.
You may also have something like: "Medieval", which means you could only play these cards during the times that those empires were on the earth (as the above four are).
You may also notice "Legend" as in on the "Oisin the Poet" card.

You may also have something like: "Medieval", which means you could only play these cards during the times that those empires were on the earth (as the above four are).
You may also notice "Legend" as in on the "Oisin the Poet" card.
Legend Cards are people and places from history that have shaky historical support and may or may not have been actual people or places. e.g. Robin Hood.
"Legend" cards are not coming out all at once and Oisin was a Specialty card released on the historical Samhain date, as are most Specialty cards released on actual dates.
Any Epoch or Era Card may be played as long as players agree that they may use them before game commences during deck building.
Specialty Cards and Epochs
If you look in the bottom right corner of the info banner you notice instead of "Family Edition" you will see "Special Edition" on some of the cards.
These are cards that can be used in many or all of the epochs of history.
They have reference ID's such as EGSEUS1 instead of EGFEAC1 and the like.
So far the epochs are:
Antiquity
-Family Edition
-Other Editions to come
Medieval
Industrial
Modern
Plausible Future
This may change.
In the upper left hand corner you will notice many of the Specialty Cards say "Antiquity".
This means they can be played over the entire Epoch. And this includes all of the Family Edition.
You must agree before the game to be able to use these cards in deck building.

extorted peace
I didn't really feel that this card was possible in real life but after watching a documentary on the Nazi takeover of Poland and the "sitzkrieg" that followed, I now believe that this card is essential and true to form of people in general. Some folks just don't want to begin. Maybe I should have called this card: "Laziness". Lol.

Easter?
Someone asked me if I was going to make an "Easter" card... Nope... too much confusion, so I made these instead.
Note: Neither Iesus Christi nor Ostara nor the Angel of Death are featured in these cards. As Strategy Cards, they are historical celebrations of those beings.
Other Note: I will not be making any cards with cute bunnies and colored eggs on them in the near future.

Different Card Art vs. Different Cards
Someone asked a question regarding the differences in these four cards. notice that the art and visual representation are the only thing that has changed in the two augustus systems and the two polybian systems... not the way the card is, OR the reference number...
If there is a difference in the card then it may not necessarily reflect in the card name. Maybe the name is the same but the numbers are different... How can this be? Look at the reference number above the copyright information. Take these three cards for example:
there are other examples of the name of the card being different but not having any modifications to game play that are reference cards themselves. this is just for your enjoyment and ease of play. they are basically like the first type of card. no real change... here are some examples of that.
hope this clears up any confusion!

i am going to have it up on memorial day weekend (may 26-28) ONLY.
and then i will take it down.
but i will hide it on the site pretty well so it will be tough to find. bwahaha.
