Epoch of Man: Equipment - 1

Epoch of Man is a worldwide expansion. If it can be used in any epoch, any period, I will put it here. Antiquity Unaffiliated was getting a little crowded. More to come on this later.

Though not specifically chattel slaves, these vassals of your Kingdom will serve you well. Though not Units or Soldiers themselves, they are used with any other Unit to help that Unit. When the Unit is discarded, it loses all of it's equipment. Basically, wherever the Soldier or General goes, that equipment goes with him, even when captured.

Remember, Equipment is "Attached" during Army Phase. It can be unattached during army phase as well and discarded.

Poison Javelin NERF

It was bound to happen one day. Things like this shouldn't happen that often. My bad.

Edo Samurai Archers

What year do you think this is?

60 BC?
860 AD?
1260 AD?
1860 AD?

If you guessed 1860, you are correct!

That's crazy!

Coypu

Not exactly like this, but people do eat them, and they are nasty.

In The Great Plague, some soldier cards are allowed to be played as Tactics Cards. The cost is free and may be played whenever you would like, even when it's not your turn.

Pope Gregory IX

So I was doing some research... You know... Just kind of kicking around the websites and demanding that they yield their fruit, when I remembered having a discussion on facebook with a friend about the Bubonic Plague. I found this on another page of deep searching.

After Pope Gregory IX associated cats with devil worship, cats throughout Europe were exterminated in droves. This sudden lack of cats led to the spread of disease because infected rats ran free. The most devastating of these diseases, the Bubonic Plague, killed 100 million people.

That's pretty messed up. This guy was super horrible and did a bunch of stupid stuff, but I think for now, I will limit him to this one thing...Which is bad enough. The first "Black Death" spread was around the height of the Eastern Roman Empires, but it was Pope Gregory's dogma that would see 60% of all of Great Britain killed with this horrific disease. Even though the second out break took almost 100 years to come to fruition... Kill all the cats and the bacteria who travel on fleas who travel on rats would infect the humans and there is your problem.

Jerk.

Patience - Special Edition Virtue

If you haven't ever seen the Virtues and Sins, it's worth a look. Playing virtues is detrimental to the short term game but a great long game, conversely, playing Sins is a great short term game but will hurt you in the end.

For instance, with Virtues, if you play three of them, you gain a Cultural Health. AWESOME.

Check out the rest of them HERE

Here is a new Virtue- Patience.

Throwback

Throwback! The history of the game of history!

Empires and Generals is turned 6 years old recently. I thought I would get you some weird throwback cards. Play them at your own risk as they may contradict other rules and other players might dispute them.

If you would like me to do your face on a card, I will. Go to facebook.com/EmpiresandGenerals and follow the rules there.

Thanks for your patience these last two months!

I will be adding more Fractured Empires under Unaffiliated Family Edition.
