Pyrrhus of Epirus

I made this card today thinking of my good buddy Samson Johnson.

A study of Pyrrhus reveals him to be from the Greek tribe of Molossia. As we've learned in the Ancient Greek Deck from the Expanded Edition, not all was peaches and cream with Sparta. The Molossians were not a part of the Delian League either.

In all, Molossia has more to do with Macedonia than Greece.

Olypias, the mother of Alexander the great, was Molossian and was a lot cooler than Angelina Jolie could have ever been.

Hope this card brings a contemplative smile to your face.

It's a doozy. Use wisely.

The Thirteenth Amendment

In celebration of the passing of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, January 31st 1865, I have made this new card.

Sacrifice on the cost means that you must discard three (3) total cost, not three total cards. You can usually accomplish this by discarding one common specialty recourse which allows you to harvest three resources.

Sacrifice must be done on Harvest Phase.

If you forget to Sacrifice on Harvest Phase then you must wait until next turn and act according to the Turn Phase.

You will notice that Entice, Capture, Entrap, Ensnare and Enslave are all listed.

Some of the decks for sale use these terms.

Note: Egyptian Empire "Traps" card remains unaffected by this "Entrap" negation.

Enjoy your card!

Enjoy your freedom!

Unification Wars

Although thousands died in the wars of Qin Shi Huang,

he did succeed in uniting the land.

Pretty crazy reading though. He used natural disasters and flooding along with regular army tactics.

The Truth of Edeco

wikipedia has some catching up to do. is a pretty cool site that i go to often and get a lot of information from.

when i searched "edeco" i was disenchanted to find "E-Deco" which is a bunch of idiots using paintbrush programs and turning it into interior house design.

how sad.

this is cooler than that.

Dacian Traitor

As before, with Tenerian Relics, this bad boy is uncommon, costs three of a single resource and gives you +1CH if you have only roman empire/republic cards in play.

that's a QUICK game.

Tenerian Relics

I just discovered that in modern day Niger the once "Green Sahara" was home to several lost tribes.

I found the article here.

Pretty interesting reading.

Apparently they migrated from the Mid Mediterranean.

Without a doubt, the ruling powers of Egypt got a piece of the taxes and tolls that this migratory people paid out.

Enjoy the new card!

comcast ip turns off .tk

i have recently moved and discovered that my new internet provider blocks .tk pages.

the organization responsible is comcast.

i will be duplicate the link on "blog" to point to as well as

i am sorry for the embarrassing situation that fat men in suits have put me into.

it was not my intention for them to block me and i will be fixing this as soon as possible.

a little birdie told me that the homepage looks weird in internet explorer.

i asked the little birdie why people use internet explorer.

he sad he did not know but it made him sad.

i will fix some issue with the website and internet explorer today.

then i will kill the bird and have lunch.

Hilltop Spotters

I think that my good buddy Samson might enjoy this new card. It's mean. But in a good way.

1/8/13 - why is this card common?

1) a general could hire any local to spy for him pretty cheaply, often for free
2) troops are hard to hide
3) if the spotters are local they know where to look for them
4) it is a weak card inside of the game mechanics of winning so you really don't need any of them
5) i will make different spotter and spy cards later

Bowmen Ambush fix and Dinka Spies

as i look thru some of the cards i think are doing just fine i surprise myself with errors that i thought i had fixed long ago.

so bowmen ambush got fixed today and i updated it here as well

and then i decided to add a subtype of  "ambush" which really gives it a better feel to the whole card. i imagine that i will make a whole lot more ambush cards under the tactics area.

so that lead me to make an anti-ambush card. dinka spies allows you to hold off ambushes as long as you have a strategy card in play... which makes sense. your spies aren't doing any good just sitting by the fire. if they are out there doing something because you have a plan in motion, then you should have an escape against ambushes.

so i created "readiness" which i almost called "preparedness" but decided against it.

i am also going to have a couple more tactics readiness cards that are pretty much there just to protect you against craziness... i have a bunch of things in mind but for you now, you can print off these two cards and have fun with them.
