I will have to admit, when "300" came out, I loved it. It was the cinematography. There were several historical mistakes, but I am pretty forgiving with those when it comes to movies. Story tellers have never changed. They just use better tools. Here is Xerxes from the movie. The third one is from Frank Millers comic (which inspired the movie), and the fourth one is from a more historically accurate source.
